Lunar Starship Concepts : An orbit to orbit Earth to Moon transit system offers major advantages over direct surface landings. How the concept evolved :

Evolution in sequence, below is from 3 spheres per Starship to 12 per adapted Starship (4 sides of 3 sphere craft) specialized to journey from Earth orbit to Lunar orbit and return to Earth orbit.

A specialized orbiter version for Earth orbit to Lunar orbit, never landing, it loaded in Earth orbit, 4 sides of 3 spheres. This done by versions of Starship that are specialized in launch and return to Earth only (heavy heat shielding design),this is for multiple sphere cargo transit to orbit for transfer to orbiter Starships.

A variety of sphere versions from Human Habitation, liquid oxygen, food supply spheres, Nuclear power spheres.

Machines, batteries, solar arrays, Jeeps and robots can be transported in various formats like in the hold of Starship version to land on the Moon, or some other form of box transit.
